At Enkulu, we believe that: “Education is the best way for people to build sustainable success” and if anyone could approach a qualified educational basis easily, we are going to have more chance to develop and become successful. Enkulu always tries to start something new to create the solutions to helping people approach an educational basis more easily and at that time, the world is flatter.
We think that an online school is vital to make the world a global village. At that school, students and teachers come from different countries, and the class is held on the internet – which is a very exciting prospect. However, Enkulu thinks everyone need to master a common language first and it must be English. Enkulu will help people to learn English more effectively and easily.
Founder & CEO
When Tan was a student, he was passionate about technology, because he thought it is an interesting field that helps people raise their standard of living. After 5 years of studying IT (Information Technology) at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Tan got the first job at a software development company. In 2014, the first success came to him with Simicart project. In May 2014 he and his Simicart team attended the Startup Asia Singapore workshop, introducing his project to the world with the belief that he would definitely step further on his own path.
However, this journey somehow changed Tan’s original objective as he realized his English was his biggest weakness. “I lost so many good opportunities to develop myself because I couldn’t communicate nor earn the knowledge from workshop” Tan said. 5 days in Singapore is not a long time, but it is enough for him to realize that this problem is not only his but also many people who want to become a global citizen. Especially when Vietnam is going to join AEC (Asean Economic Community) and TPP (Trans Pasific Partnership), Hoang Tan believed that he needed to do something to change his English level as well as every Vietnamese citizen’s.
Already had some success with Simicart, yet Tan chose to leave the project to the development team. He decided to follow his heart and step out of his comfort zone, ready for a brand-new journey. After a long time doing market research and lobby activities, he founded Enkulu - an online English school. He knew when he made this decision, he would face so many difficulties and risks. However, Tan never once doubted his decisions. In order to lay a sound foundation for the project, Tan invited numerous educational experts from different famous corporations as well as his friends to build the e-learning technology platform - ENKULU.
People working with Tan would always know the ending sentence of his email: “Wealth needs a purpose greater than big houses and flashy cars!” He is 26 years old - very young but Tan always thinks about how to solve the problems of the society. Tan always hopes that what he achieves makes not merely his success but also the lasting value for society!
